REFLECT:
Today’s passage from Isaiah, chapter 58:
If you remove from your midst oppression,
false accusation and malicious speech;
If you bestow your bread on the hungry
and satisfy the afflicted;
Then light shall rise for you in the darkness,
and the gloom shall become for you like midday…
How can we put God’s Word into practice today? In our speech, do we build up, or do we tear down? How do we share our bread with the hungry and the afflicted? Often, a kind word, a helping hand, an act of affirmation and support can brighten someone’s day – and ours as!
PRAY:
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. (Ps. 19:15)
