REFLECT
“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow" (Reading, Isaiah 1:18). God is love, and always forgiving. God created man and wants humans to be happy. Although many times mankind has fallen and sinned, God always opens to welcome us back into His warm embrace.
Lent is a great opportunity for returning, a good occasion to renew ourselves, to maintain a good relationship with God and others. Lent, we are called to look to the mirror of Jesus. When he was a human, he also endured temptations and trials, but he overcame to choose the way of the Cross, to carry out the mission of redeeming humanity that the Father had entrusted.
Therefore, let us not be too harsh on ourselves, but let's be ready to listen to God's voice. As a personal experience, St. Augustine observed: “There is no adult without a past, no sinner without a future”. Therefore, we always keep our hope and trust in Him.
PRAY
Heavenly Father, help us to love you with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. Please let me put aside selfishness, jealousy, and illicit desires to return and live in God's providence and protection. Give me strength to overcome the temptations like you, and I will praise Your name forever and ever. Amen.
ACT
Before going to bed and when waking up, pray one Our Father, ten Hail Marys, one Glory Be. Pray and thank God for all the blessings He has given!
