The major goal of the religious education program is to assist parents in teaching their children to know, to love and to serve God. Our program offers classes for children beginning in Kindergarten through eighth grade. Classes are held on Monday evenings at Saint Rosalia from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Registration is required for all new students. If you would like more information about our Religious Education program or to register a student new to our program, please contact Terri Taormina, our Director of Religious Education, at ttaormina@saintpaulcathedral.org or call the parish office at 412-621-4951.
The family catechetical program at Saint Paul Cathedral seeks to gather all Cathedral families with children in pre-K through grade 8 to a program one Sunday each month during the school year. These gatherings are generally held on the first Sunday of each month. Regardless of whether your children are in Catholic school, parish religious education, or being homeschooled, this program invites our Cathedral families to gather for fellowship and faith learning so that we can get to know each other and provide additional opportunities for our parents and our children to grow more deeply in their Catholic faith. This program begins immediately following the 10:00 am Mass - from 11:15 AM until 1:00 PM in the parish social hall. Share the word with other families. Make a commitment to join us. Our second and eighth grade students preparing for Holy Communion and Confirmation are expected to participate along with their parents. All children from our parish grouping are invited to participate. For more information see the bulletin, call the parish office at 412-621-4951 or email info@saintpaulcathedral.org.
