This Thursday, March 17, will mark the 31st anniversary of our Saint Paul Cathedral parish television ministry. Father Kris Stubna, pastor and rector of Saint Paul Cathedral said: “For 31 years now, with the help of countless, dedicated volunteers, we have been able to bring the daily celebration of the Holy Mass into the homes and lives of so many people who are homebound and unable to attend Mass. This is a very special ministry as it allows for those who are homebound, hospitalized or in nursing homes to be connected with the life of our parish, especially at the daily celebration of Mass.” We remember our former pastor and rector, Father Leo Vanyo, who began this ministry, our three coordinators of this ministry over the past 31 years: Doreen Consentino, Ann Windish, and current coordinator John Hillgrove, along with the nearly 30 volunteers. In addition to cablecasting the Mass on Christian Associate Channel 95 on Comcast, we livestream on our website and through our parish Facebook page. We have viewers from across the diocese and in different parts of our country. We celebrate this ministry today of bringing God’s Word and the Holy Mass to so many people who would not otherwise have access. Under Father Stubna’s leadership we know televise and livestream our Friday evening Lenten stations, the Wednesday evening Novena to our Mother of Perpetual Help with adoration and benediction, our Wine, Cheese and the Gospel presentations and all the major diocesan celebrations and events at the Cathedral. This anniversary is an opportunity to say thank you to all those who have made this possible over these past 31 years.
